Vineyard Discovery
Discover signature wines as well as hidden gems. Learn how the wines are made, meet the winemakers and indulge in delicious wines. Your ‘behind the scenes access’ to the exclusive world of wine starts here.
The Vineyard Discovery is a one-day winery tour with Vince from Dordogne Vineyard Tours. Vince will pick you up in your private van for the day to spend face to face time with the winemakers in the vines, cellars and tasting rooms. Taste around 12-15 wines and enjoy lunch in one of our favourite local bistros. Vince will accompany you throughout the day and provide the inside track on all things local: wine, history and culture.
Caviar & Walnut Tours
Next to wine, gastronomy is a serious subject in France. The Perigord (also known as the Dordogne) is widely recognised as the country’s food basket and boasts its own specific flavours: Truffles, Walnuts, Caviar, Foie Gras, Cheese – to name a few. Available in: April, October, November and December.
For a Food Tour day, you could for example opt for one of the following:
- a local Sturgeon farm to uncover the secrets of caviar production.
- a walnut farm for a stroll in the orchard, a look in the mill and a tasting of the end products


Culture Escape
From pre-historic cave paintings to imposing hilltop chateaux via picturesque villages, enjoy a private tour to explore the rich history and culture of the Dordogne. This tour can ofcourse be tailored to your wishes:
- Lascaux Caves –prehistoric cave paintings dating back some 17,000 years, a rare insight into the lives of our distant ancestors.
- Chateau Milande – the former residence of Josephine Baker, celebrated dancer, singer and actress and a decorated member of the French Resistance.
- Historic market town of Bergerac – a guided walking tour through the cobbled streets of this once important medieval trading town.
Truffle Hunting
An intimate winter private tour to discover the Bergerac region’s wines as well as the rarest of gastronomic delights: ’The Black Pearl’, the elusive Winter Perigord Truffle.
The Truffle Escape includes a morning spent with a local truffle farmer. You will visit the picturesque market town of Saint Alvère, host to the weekly truffle market for nearly 40 years, before heading back to the ‘Trufficulteur’s’ estate to hunt for truffles with his trusty, not to mention, skilful hunting partner, Rigo the dog. Lunch is simple farmer’s fare accompanied by truffles and wine of course! Available in: December and January.
