While we’re on our journey towards sustainability, we are consciously integrating eco-friendlier practices into our operations. Our goal is to strike a balance between providing an excellent experience for you as our guest and being kind to the environment.

Besides practical approaches such as not leaving the water running and encouraging proper waste management we also explore energy-saving solutions and partnering with eco-conscious suppliers.

Electric car charger

One of our most recent additions to our amenities is on-site EV-charging facilities. Now, you can conveniently charge your electric vehicle right at our property, enabling you to travel in a more environmentally friendly manner without the hassle of finding electrical car charging stations along the way.

Energy-efficient lighting

Our property features LED lights both indoors and outdoors, reducing energy consumption. Additionally, outdoor lighting automatically switches off at night to conserve energy.

Conscious coffee

Koffiejongens is a B-corp certified fully sustainable and socially conscious coffee brand, offering coffee in 100% biodegradable (FSC-certified cardboard) plant-based coffee pods. Assembled by employees who were formerly disadvantaged in the job market.

Remade towels

Walra’s sustainable Remade Cotton collection offers towels that prioritize environmental responsibility. These towels are made using a blend of 70% recycled cotton and 30% virgin cotton, making them a sustainable choice. By using recycled cotton, the production process of these towels helps to reduce water consumption, CO2 emissions, and energy usage.

According to The Recycle Movement (REMOkey), just producing a 70×140 cm Remade Cotton bath towel saves significant amounts of resources compared to a newly produced towel: 2,629 liters of water, 1.19 kg of CO2, and 4.77 kWh. Additionally, the Walra Remade collection is Oeko-tex and GRS certified. Oeko-tex guarantees that products do not contain harmful substances, while the GRS standard ensures the verification of recycled material in products, including both final products and intermediate stages.

Sustainable toiletries

We provide ADA Cosmetics toiletries, this company is Cradle to Cradle Certified. These products are made with pure ingredients and packaged using recycled paper and soy-based ink, ensuring a minimal environmental impact.

Tree-friendly toilet paper

We offer toilet paper from The Good Roll, also a B-Corp certified company. This 100% tree-friendly and sustainable toilet paper is made from European recycled and bamboo paper, without chlorine, colorants, or fragrances. By using it, you contribute to building toilets in Africa. And the company has teamed-up with World Fair Trade Organization to become the world’s very first Fair Trade toilet paper brand.

Water-efficient

Our toilets are equipped with a water-efficient button, allowing you to choose a lower water volume flush when appropriate. This helps conserve water without compromising functionality.

Our dishwashers have an eco-mode, which optimizes water and energy usage. Using this mode during your stay helps minimize resource consumption.
