Maison Saint-Blaise is your private base for a long weekend shaped around two evening hunts from fixed positions, one traditional local hunt and generous French hospitality.
Between outings, the house is entirely yours: five calm bedrooms, an open fire, space to cook and dine together, and the freedom to set your own pace. Non-hunting participants or partners are warmly welcome too.

Booking terms
After we have confirmed your requested stay, the same booking, payment and cancellation conditions as for Maison Saint-Blaise’s regular holiday rentals apply. Tourist tax is €2.10 per adult, per night.
A refundable security deposit of €500 is required for the house and is returned within 48 hours after departure, unless damage has occurred. Any optional Chef Patricia dinner and hunting arrangements are confirmed separately.
Hunting arrangements: the application and costs of your temporary French hunting licence and mandatory hunting liability insurance are included in the package, together with local zeroing and guidance. Firearm rental and ammunition are charged separately and confirmed in advance. Any animal taken during an evening hunt from a fixed position is charged at €150, including the trophy, but excluding the meat.

If selected, Chef Patricia prepares an optional private three-course dinner in the kitchen of Maison Saint-Blaise. She works with market-fresh regional ingredients, selecting seasonal game or locally sourced beef according to availability.
Her cooking brings together the flavours of French terroir and subtle Mediterranean influences. The menu is prepared especially for your group and served in the privacy of the house. An unhurried start to the weekend around your own table.

Four days and three nights, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and one bed for each hunter. Rooms are shared within the group.
Dinner by Chef Patricia
If selected, Patricia cooks a three-course dinner at the house with market-fresh regional produce, blending French terroir with Mediterranean notes. One three-course dinner on Thursday, including wine and one bottle of champagne for your group. Fresh croissants and bread on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday’s generous hunter’s breakfast, are included in the hunting package.

Hunting licence & insurance
We arrange your temporary French hunting licence and mandatory hunting liability insurance. The application and the costs of both are included in the package, as is local zeroing. Firearm rental and suitable ammunition can be arranged in advance, subject to availability, and are charged separately.
Room for partners
Five bedrooms with three double beds and four single beds allow flexible room allocation and space for non-hunting partners. Tell us the make-up of your party when requesting.

Firearm rental is subject to availability and legal eligibility. Wildlife is never guaranteed. Hunting hours and permitted equipment follow French law: no hunting after one hour past sunset, no artificial light, and no night-vision or thermal devices mounted on the rifle. Valid documentation and compliance with French hunting rules are required.

What is included in the price?
The group price includes the private house for three nights, two accompanied evening hunts from fixed positions, Sunday’s local driven hunt, fresh bread and croissants on Friday and Saturday, and a generous hunter’s breakfast on Sunday. Coordination with local hunting partners, local zeroing, and the application and costs of your temporary French hunting licence and mandatory hunting liability insurance are also included. We arrange the licence and insurance for you. Chef Patricia’s dinner is optional.
Will I have to share a bed?
No. Every hunter has their own bed. The house has five bedrooms with three double beds and four single beds, so some bedrooms are shared within your group. We agree the room allocation with you, including any partners who are joining.
Is secure storage available for firearms?
Yes, a dedicated gun safe is available at Maison Saint-Blaise.
What type of evening hunt is offered?
The evening hunts take place from designated fixed positions (affût), where you wait for wild boar or roe deer. Stalking (approche) is not offered: visiting hunters are unfamiliar with the terrain, and moving around could unintentionally bring them into another hunter’s area. Fixed positions keep each hunter in their assigned area.
What are the hunting hours, and which equipment is permitted?
French law applies. Evening hunts from a fixed position may continue until one hour after sunset; the Sunday driven hunt runs within the legal hours of the day, which end between 17:00 and 18:00 depending on the month. Hunting after these hours is not permitted. Rifle-mounted night-vision or thermal devices are prohibited in France; hand-held thermal or night-vision binoculars are permitted for observation only. Artificial light may not be used. Rifle ammunition is required; shotguns are not used on these hunts. If you are unsure whether your equipment is allowed, contact us before you travel and we will check it with our local hunting partners.
Is dinner included, and what does it include?
Dinner is optional. Chef Patricia prepares one three-course dinner at the house on Thursday, with wine and one bottle of champagne for your group included. Choose dinner for 3–10 guests in step 3 to see the group price. Dietary requirements can be discussed with your request. Patricia’s availability is confirmed personally.
Can non-hunting partners join us?
Yes, non-hunting partners and other companions are welcome. Select the number of hunters for the hunting package and the number of dinner guests separately. We will discuss the composition of your group and room allocation when confirming your stay.
Is my booking confirmed when I submit the form?
No. The form sends a request without obligation and does not take payment. We will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the house, hunting programme and, if selected, Patricia’s availability. Your booking is finalised after personal confirmation.
